The PEDIGREE^® Feeding Project kicked off this year in Chicago and our home city of Nashville, two cities with an abundance of homeless pets. By providing select shelters in these cities with our food at absolutely no cost, we're helping to make sure that more dogs are as happy, healthy, and adoptable as can be.

The professional nutrition in our food supports the overall health of dogs with focus in four key areas; skin & coat, oral care, digestion and immunity. This is especially important for shelter dogs, many of which have been deprived of a consistent diet, and not as healthy as they could be.

And this is first and foremost why we created the PEDIGREE^® Feeding Project. To provide more dogs with the consistent, nutritious diet they need to become the happy, healthy pets they deserve to be.

The Shelters

We're helping shelters find loving homes for dogs.

There are over 5,000 community animal shelters in the United States. Though many of them have a lot of dogs, they often have very little money to provide these animals with the care they need. The PEDIGREE^® Feeding Project is helping ease their burden by providing select shelters with our food at absolutely no cost. As you can see, if shelter dogs don’t get the consistent diet and nutrition they need, they could get sick – making it even harder for them to find a home. With the PEDIGREE^® Feeding Project, we’re donating our nutritious food to select shelters, providing more dogs with a consistent diet to keep them healthy and adoptable.

The best part about the PEDIGREE^® Feeding Project? We’re just getting started. This year we’re helping in Chicago and Nashville. In the future we look forward to coming to more communities where our help is needed.

At PEDIGREE^®, we believe that every dog deserves a loving home. And with Woofer we’re amplifying the voices of the shelter dogs, and showing them in their best light, to help connect them to potential adopters across the country.

The dogs on Woofer are from the shelters in Nashville and Chicago we’ve partnered with as part of the PEDIGREE^® Feeding Project, but as we grow our efforts, we’ll also grow Woofer, giving even more shelter dogs the exposure to get adopted.
